This course represents the first diving level in which the basic concepts of diving will be learned such as equipment and fundamental techniques for diving safety. This course will allow the junior diver to dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters and within the safety curve, with a partner of the same level or higher without the supervision of a professional, in environments similar to those in which he was trained. , from one hour after sunrise to one hour before sunset.
The minimum age to access the course is 12 years old.
Students aged between 10 and 11 years can achieve the Open Water Diver Junior certification, at the end of the course the diver can dive to a maximum depth of 10 meters.
During the theoretical training, information about the history of diving, the aquatic environment, equipment and basic techniques will be learned. The underwater instruments and the maneuvers to be carried out underwater are carefully analyzed in the classroom, so that the diver becomes familiar with his equipment and movements. At the end of the theory lessons, supported by video lessons and slides, we finally proceed to the practical part in the water.
The practical part of the Open Water Diver Junior course is the most challenging of the course. It is structured in 6 exercises in delimited waters and at least 4 dives in open water, during which students can finally put into practice all the notions of the theoretical part such as swimming, use of equipment and compensation.
Finally, open water dives are necessary to apply all the knowledge acquired in a complete underwater environment, such as Lake Garda. We will visit breathtaking, unknown and mysterious underwater landscapes, with video footage and photographs!
At the end of the course, if passed successfully, the diver will be able to receive the Open Water Diver Junior certification which certifies his qualification to dive in open water within a depth of 18 meters and within the safety curve.
