Sidemount course

The Sidemount course is a specialization course that trains the diver to use a sidemount configuration efficiently and safely.

What is the Sidemount technique?

This technique involves moving the cylinders from the diver's back to the hips, making the dive more enjoyable in certain conditions.

Benefits of the Sidemount configuration

With Sidemount courses you will learn an alternative way of diving, with multiple benefits that can be found:

  • excellent hydro dynamism
  • ease of neutral trim
  • ease in transporting the equipment in certain contexts or in the case of particular physical conditions, no longer having to face journeys with cylinders on their shoulders
  • relief for the back (particularly suitable for those suffering from back problems);
  • the increased air supply, thanks to’ use of two cylinders, in favor of the redundancy principle;
  • ease in checking all equipment during the dive, as it is placed frontally.
